The Santa Claus Look for My Darling Niece ‘Tuppu’- Courtesy ShoppersStop.com

“The entire world is happy when Santa Claus comes”. How about your child donning the Santa Clause look this Christmas?

This cute line being flashed at a nearby departmental store drew my attention immediately and also gave me the superb idea of dressing my cutiepie niece “Tuppu”, as we lovingly call her, exactly the Santa Clause way this Christmas.
Now the biggest challenge was to get everything necessary for this very enticing makeover, be it the dress, the shoes, the trademark cap and the glossy accessories. I called up my younger sister who is the biggest shopping freak in my entire family and she straight away came up with the outstanding idea of buying everything from Shoppers Stop. Wow! I was literally zapped!!!  How come the idea didn’t strike me? This heavenly shopping abode has everything under its roof and makes shopping a truly fun journey. And shopping from their awesome online portal is a fab experience as you can order whatever you want right from the comfort and luxury of your home.
I met with my Sister on Sunday and we decide to get the best of things for our l’il champ from ShoppersStop.com.

We made a check list of everything required and decided to first look out for a hoodie in Red colour, exactly the shade that Santa Clause Wears. We had just browsed for around a minutes when this brilliant hoodie in ravishing Red came to our notice. It had an incredible charm to it, which made it a must buy in the first look itself.

Now the second big task was to get a comfortable lower in similar color. The God of Good Luck was on our side coz a super smart UCB Red Pant in very much the same colour was available in the bottom wear section.

But the most thrilling part was yet to come. We got something which made us literally dance with joy. This ultra cute MotherCare baby White Baggy Shoes was just the most adorable baby shoe I have ever came through and I bet the Super cute Santa look would have failed without this mesmerizing masterpiece.

Within an hour we ordered everything we were looking for including accessories, which didn’t take much time as we got most of the stuff from one section. Have a look. You are bound to love them!
With a few more days to go before the big day finally arrives, we are all eagerly awaiting to see our little angel dressed in this magnificent dress. The thoughts of her thrilling looks are giving me goose bumps already.

Thanks ShoppersStop.com for making it such a lovely experience.

Get Everything You Need for that Perfect Festive Look @ Shoppers Stop!

Dressing plays just as much important role in festivities as rituals, facebook snaps, gags & laughs, food & drinks. Festive season is the time to embrace and flaunt vivid fashion and sizzling styles. So, all you lovely ladies out there, let’s have a quick look at some of the fundoo fashion tips for this festive season.

Start with a stunningly beautiful satin cascade dress in royal colors like peacock blue, emerald green or sleek black. Satin stands out as a fabric that looks richer than silk and cozier than wool, bringing in all the regal sheen and softness. So a satin dress stand for something more understated, yet exuding eloquence. Choose a design that fits well and enhances your natural curves gracefully.

Phew! Now when we’re done with the apparel part, let’s accessorize up a bit. Adorn your wrist with an elegant wrist watch with a silver matt finish. Choose a feminine design that blends aesthetics and sensuality and bestows you with a cut-above-the-rest image in the crowd.

It’s a well known fact that women’s feet are one of her most sensual parts. Feet are something that looks more elegant when revealed rather than concealed. The fashionistas recommend ladies to get their beautiful paws in thin T-strap heel sandals rather than veiling them in those shoes or boots. Moving from her feet to her hand (try to control your urges), a clutch is the best companion a women can keep handy. Unlike your undertoned dress, clutch and sandals are supposed to sparkle and shine. So, pick up a color that dazzles your evening like silver white, maroon or sleek black. Do keep in mind the fact that the deadly duo of sandals and clutch never go wrong when paired up in similar tones.
Coming to the ladies’ favorite past time – getting jeweled up! There’s nothing that women love more than trinket hunting and the love affair becomes all the more serious during special occasions. Embellish your get up with a splendid asymmetrically-designed necklace. Pair it up with oversized and outrageous rings and we guarantee the onlookers will lift their eyebrows for a second gaze.

Alrighty! Dress – checked, accessories – checked, jewelry – checked. What are we missing? A wise man once said that you can tell more about a women by the way she smells than the way she dresses. No prizes for guessing, we’re talking about perfumes. There is a wide range of perfumes available in Shopper’s Stop. Try  DKNY Red Delicious that features champagne and lychee notes. You can also go for Guess Seductive featuring Fruit and Vanilla notes.

So here we are – a picture perfect outfit to glam up your celebrations. This thoughtful get up guarantees to bring out every bit of a women’s beauty and persona and suits well for New Year and valentine’s day as well as for traditional occasions such as Christmas. But don’t go by our words, when you’ll have all those glares, that’s when you’ll know you have truly arrived.

The official wear of every festive occasion, the charm and charisma of a kurta pyjama, matched with a stylish pair of sandals and funky accessories is all you need to grab eyeballs and grace the occasion.

Festivals are special and therefore the kind of kurta pyjama that you select to celebrate them should also be special and what better than Shoppers Stop to get everything you want in a single go! With its exclusive and extensive collection, you always have that upper hand to choose the one that suits your body type and complexion perfectly. And my husband did the same this Diwali.

With colourful lights hanging from my rooftop and diyas giving a divine touch to my balcony, he decided to dress himself in an elegant Maroon coloured Manish Creations-Mens Kurta Pyjama set that he bought on the day of Dhanterash.  To give a light western touch to this very ethnic outfit, he combined it with his favourite US Polo Sandal having a brown base and white top, one of his most loved purchases from shoppers stop, yet again. It not only complemented but also enhanced the look and feel of the fascinating Kurta Pyjama.  And finally to get that funky teen look, which he always craves for despite being 30, he matched it wondrously with a trendy Revv Ring and his favorite ticker, ESPRIT Folsom Silver watch.

Compliments came in pouring along with sweets and dry fruits. Each and every guest was literally mesmerized with the choice of Kurta Pyjama, sandals and the accessories.

Thanks Shopper Stop! Without you this Diwali wouldn’t have been so special.

Heaven on Earth! Andaman & Nicobar Islands!

Think of a picture perfect holiday spot and the first name that clicks is Andaman & Nicobar Islands. An archipelago of 572 emerald islands, islets and rocks, this veritable Garden of Eden is bestowed with a tropical climate. The evergreen rain forests, mangrove-lines creeks, silver sandy beaches, diverse flora and fauna, et al all come together to churn up a bouquet of unforgettable memories for the tourists.

For those with a patriotic appetite, a visit to Cellular Jail will be a treat. Stepping in this forbidden land, you’ll get to know the hardships our freedom fighters went through during the British era. At Coral Island, you’ll get to witness the picturesquely laid bright colored coral reefs along the placid sea shore.

Try out snorkeling and you’ll get a glimpse of the rarest of corals. Get the exhilarating experience of Scuba Diving. The mesmerizing under-water marine life is truly a nature’s spectacle. The best time to visit this haven is between October and May. Get ready to explore and experience nature in its most pristine form!

Sun Sand & Sea- Amazing Thailand Always Amazes You

A majestic blend of vibrant and lively culture, mesmerizing beauty and incredible people, Thailand took over my senses right from the moment I stepped out of the beautiful Suvarnabhumi airport. Rich, mystical and with a cultural heritage that spans eon, the mysteries of this lovely land can only be unveiled with an open heart, a heart that wishes and dreams to relax, rejuvenate and revive in true sense.

Although everything about Thailand is an everlasting memory but the crowning glory has to be the breath-taking phi phi island tour. The experience cannot be described in words, you have to be there to understand what “natural nirvana” really means. It’s as if you have left this stressful world and entered into a serene domain of unbelievable beauty. As if the mighty Gods have opened the gate of heaven for you to appreciate and enjoy.

This is just the beginning of my posts on Thailand; the remaining posts will describe the beauty of each and every spot in detail. Just wait and watch!

Celebrating Diwali!

The word Diwali brings joy & happiness clubbed with images of diyas & lights in our eyes.

There are too many customs and procedure to follow while celebrating Diwali. Few of them are just preparations. Pooja of goddess Lakhsmi, lighting, Diyas, Crackers & sweet distribution are customs that everybody follows. And cleaning home is a preparation that comes naturally to us during pre Diwali days.

Though it’s always good to abide by traditional customs of celebrating Diwali but there are few things that need to change with time (IMO). The first & important thing is overuse or just use of crackers.

There are many reasons to avoid crackers but most important one is the pollution they cause. In Diwali we clean our home but by using crackers we pollute the environment. Some people may differ but I am strictly against the use of crackers. To me, it is a waste of money & sheer harm to the environment.

No doubt how hard I try to convince my heart that just one cracker won’t make any difference, but my mind gives an alarm “it’s not just only one”. Just calculate, if one person will use one cracker then 1 crore people will use 1 crore crackers. At max you can do is to contribute your bit. “AVOID CRACKERS”

Discussion- Types of Human Being!

"Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.”
Benjamin Disraeli

There are infinite types of ‘human being’. In my 20 years of conscious observation, I have not encountered even a single incident where I felt…’Ok’ these two people are nearly same. In the age of plastic surgeries, it is easy to find people with similar looks but difficult to find people with similar thoughts.

Here I am trying to discuss two types of ‘Human Being’. And these types came in my mind while reading the ‘Happiness Quote’.

“Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action”.

Apart from the meaningful thought, what strikes my mind is the abstract source….the two types of people mentioned here:

Type 1-Who believe in actions and continuously try to achieve ‘Happiness’ be it in the form of peace, money, fame, love etc….
Type 2-Who just complain about the circumstances for not having (possessing) happiness.

Obviously the ‘type 2’ people have more answers than questions for not having what they should have (or desired). There are circumstances (a very common & most popular one), late awareness (or self realization) of one’s talent, not getting enough support from family & society and many more.
Seldom have we found such people discussing their own shortfalls, most of the time they are occupied with criticizing the ‘type 1’ people. In such discussions, many times hard work & discipline is mistaken & often proved as a greed for money or fame. More often ‘type 1’ people are criticized of being more ambitious, greedy, materialistic, unsatisfied and most importantly for not being happy with ‘whatever they have or achieved’….(it is an incomplete post…..will try to complete it soon.)
