Heaven on Earth! Andaman & Nicobar Islands!

Think of a picture perfect holiday spot and the first name that clicks is Andaman & Nicobar Islands. An archipelago of 572 emerald islands, islets and rocks, this veritable Garden of Eden is bestowed with a tropical climate. The evergreen rain forests, mangrove-lines creeks, silver sandy beaches, diverse flora and fauna, et al all come together to churn up a bouquet of unforgettable memories for the tourists.

For those with a patriotic appetite, a visit to Cellular Jail will be a treat. Stepping in this forbidden land, you’ll get to know the hardships our freedom fighters went through during the British era. At Coral Island, you’ll get to witness the picturesquely laid bright colored coral reefs along the placid sea shore.

Try out snorkeling and you’ll get a glimpse of the rarest of corals. Get the exhilarating experience of Scuba Diving. The mesmerizing under-water marine life is truly a nature’s spectacle. The best time to visit this haven is between October and May. Get ready to explore and experience nature in its most pristine form!

Sun Sand & Sea- Amazing Thailand Always Amazes You

A majestic blend of vibrant and lively culture, mesmerizing beauty and incredible people, Thailand took over my senses right from the moment I stepped out of the beautiful Suvarnabhumi airport. Rich, mystical and with a cultural heritage that spans eon, the mysteries of this lovely land can only be unveiled with an open heart, a heart that wishes and dreams to relax, rejuvenate and revive in true sense.

Although everything about Thailand is an everlasting memory but the crowning glory has to be the breath-taking phi phi island tour. The experience cannot be described in words, you have to be there to understand what “natural nirvana” really means. It’s as if you have left this stressful world and entered into a serene domain of unbelievable beauty. As if the mighty Gods have opened the gate of heaven for you to appreciate and enjoy.

This is just the beginning of my posts on Thailand; the remaining posts will describe the beauty of each and every spot in detail. Just wait and watch!

Celebrating Diwali!

The word Diwali brings joy & happiness clubbed with images of diyas & lights in our eyes.

There are too many customs and procedure to follow while celebrating Diwali. Few of them are just preparations. Pooja of goddess Lakhsmi, lighting, Diyas, Crackers & sweet distribution are customs that everybody follows. And cleaning home is a preparation that comes naturally to us during pre Diwali days.

Though it’s always good to abide by traditional customs of celebrating Diwali but there are few things that need to change with time (IMO). The first & important thing is overuse or just use of crackers.

There are many reasons to avoid crackers but most important one is the pollution they cause. In Diwali we clean our home but by using crackers we pollute the environment. Some people may differ but I am strictly against the use of crackers. To me, it is a waste of money & sheer harm to the environment.

No doubt how hard I try to convince my heart that just one cracker won’t make any difference, but my mind gives an alarm “it’s not just only one”. Just calculate, if one person will use one cracker then 1 crore people will use 1 crore crackers. At max you can do is to contribute your bit. “AVOID CRACKERS”
